Article: READY FOR A RETINOL + RETINAL BOOST? A2 IS HERE

READY FOR A RETINOL + RETINAL BOOST? A2 IS HERE

READY FOR A RETINOL + RETINAL BOOST? A2 IS HERE

With A2, Sarah Chapman has created her strongest retinoid serum yet, the closest she’s gotten to the potency of retinoic acid (the prescription-only form of vitamin A) without compromising skin barrier health – the by-product of her exclusive TTS³ technology.

“A2 is my new advanced Retinol & Retinal serum – the closest I think I can get to prescription-strength results in a safe, easy-to-use formulation.”

– Sarah Chapman

Whether you’re dealing with stubborn skin texture, deep-set fine lines and wrinkles or uneven pigmentation from years of sun damage, A2 offers an intensive level of care for faster progress in fewer steps.

HOW IS A2 DIFFERENT FROM A1?

A2 builds upon the outstanding clinical results of A1 with higher levels of Retinol and Retinal. This makes it 1.5x more potent than its predecessor and, therefore, suitable for more experienced users of retinoids.

Despite being a moderate-strength serum, A1, in turn, can be applied by both regular users and beginners, unlocking visible skin improvements, from reduced wrinkle depth to increased firmness, in as little as 2 weeks.

"BEST RETINOL PRODUCT EVER!!

I have tried loads of things over the year and this is absolutely amazing, skin feels alive and smooth with lines definitely less noticeable" – Claire B., verified Sarah Chapman customer

Like all formulas in the Sarah Chapman Clinic range, both serums are powered by Sarah's TTS³ technology, an innovative way to boost the strength of retinoids using lower ingredient concentrations for maximum efficacy and minimal risks of irritation.

WHAT ARE A2's ACTIVE INGREDIENTS?

A2 boasts the same formula architecture as A1, combining two forms of vitamin A (Retinol and Retinal) with EGF Peptide Growth Factor, their synergistic partner.

Why use both Retinol and Retinal? Sarah explains it best:

“Retinol works steadily to refine skin texture and support collagen production, while retinal – being one step closer to retinoic acid (the active form of Vitamin A) – works up to 11 times faster to accelerate cell turnover and target fine lines, pigmentation and breakouts. This strategic pairing ensures a staggered, time-release approach to skin rejuvenation, allowing the skin to experience retinal’s high efficacy alongside retinol’s gradual, skin-transforming benefits.”

– Sarah Chapman

Retinoid activity is further enhanced by the presence of EGF Peptide Growth Factor. Renowned for its regenerative function, EGF helps activate the skin's natural repair, strengthen the skin barrier and increase hydration – benefits that, in turn, improve skin tolerance and minimise risks of irritation. The stronger your skin barrier, the better your skin responds to intensive actives.

WHEN SHOULD YOU STEP UP TO A2?

The launch of A2 completes Sarah's latest step-up system, designed for those looking to introduce retinoids into their skincare and build their skin's tolerance with intelligence simplicity.

If you've never used retinoids before, we recommend starting with Skinesis solutions like Age-Repair or Overnight Facial, which are formulated with retinyl esters, the gentlest vitamin A derivatives. Alternatively, you can gradually introduce A1 into your routine with a bi-weekly application.

Regular or frequent users of retinoids, however, can progress to A1, applying it every night for optimal results.

Already completed a bottle of A1 with no signs of irritation (redness, peeling or dryness)? Then you're ready to graduate to A2.

HOW TO APPLY A2

Since retinoids can increase photosensitivity by accelerating cell turnover, it's best to use A2 at night, applying 1-2 pumps to freshly cleansed, dry skin (don't forget your neck and décolletage).  To acclimatise your skin to its advanced strength, start by using it twice a week before gradually progressing to nightly use.

Next, nourish the delicate skin of your eyes with Eye Recovery, formulated with effective moisture-boosters, including Hyaluronic Filling Spheres™ and Pentavitin™, as well as soothing actives like iris and aloe leaf juice.

Follow Eye Recovery with a moisturiser or elixir targeted to your skin concerns, finishing the routine with a swipe of Overnight Lip Concentrate, our replenishing serum-in-balm.
